I fell in love with the outdoors at a very early age. Our family free time mostly revolved around camping out. Early on, I fell in love with water, catching my first fish by age 2. I actually owned a boat before I owned a car. In college, I was exposed to mountains, and a new love was added.
I had always loved to snorkel, and was taken aback when many years ago I saw a pair of scuba divers swim below us, then explore a sunken wreck. I was "stuck" on the surface, and watched in rapt wonder as the divers swam effortlessly below us. Someday.....I would do that.
In the meantime, life happened. A family. A career. But the idea of scuba never left my mind. Some years ago, when our youngest daughter turned 12, the whole family got certified. A new passion was born. In two short years I went from a neophyte to an instructor, teaching advanced open water scuba, and many specialties.
To say a new passion had been found would be somewhat of an understatement. The underwater world, paired with my love of photos, has been a gift and privelege.
Please share with me some of the images of the underwater world, both from afar, and very close. These are underwater photos, underwater images, and landscape photos I have taken at various places in the world. I have taken literally hundreds of thousands of images, and choose to share a few here.
For print information, please send me an e-mail, as many of the images on this site are not high resolution, and some prints I do in-house (on Canon Professional printer), and the canvas prints are done by various vendors.
